Introducing Francesca Gamboni as new Head of Procurement and Supply Chain at Volvo Cars

Volvo Cars has taken a big step forward by appointing the experienced Francesca Gamboni to head up its Procurement and Supply Chain team from October 16. Francesca will play a crucial role in advancing Volvo’s efficient, eco-friendly, and localised supply chain.

With a Master of Science in Industrial Technology Engineering and a strong background in the automotive and supply chain industries, Francesca is set to make a significant impact on Volvo Cars' procurement and supply chain operations. Her work history and expertise include roles at some of the world's most reputable companies, such as Stellantis, L'Oréal, Renault-Nissan, Bosch, Alcan (which is now Rio Tinto), and Accell Group.

During her time with Accell Group, Francesca served as the Chief Supply Chain Officer, where she managed and oversaw the manufacturing, logistics, procurement, quality, and new product development departments of the company.
