The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven – the future of luxury cars

The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven epitomises luxury car design, showcasing avant-garde features and technology that provide a sneak peek into tomorrow's automotive industry. Let's delve into the futuristic highlights that sets this vehicle apart.

Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven inherits the essence of the iconic C 111 and manifests an innovative design and all-electric drive technology, propelling the sporty luxury to a new horizon.

The concept car embodies the automaker's iconic luxury with its signature One-Bow design and powerful axial-flux motor from YASA, a 100% subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG since July 2021. Inspired by the 1960s and 70s C 111 experimental vehicles, the mid-engine sports car flaunts gullwing doors and striking orange-and-black paintwork, and remains a design landmark to this day.

Exterior and interior design

The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven boasts a striking physique centering on the One-Bow design. Its low-slung front, muscular hind quarters and flush-fit gullwing doors flow gracefully together, giving its 1,170 mm-high body an architectural quality. The large-diameter wheels are a nod to the innovative all-electric powertrain technology with distinct motor winding accents.

The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven is a game-changing sports car that combines the best of two worlds, reflecting the shift towards autonomous electric vehicles. The car's interior is versatile and adapts to different driving modes - minimalist and driver-focused for racing, and luxurious and relaxing for leisurely travel. With its airy and spacious layout, it provides occupants a unique and comfortable experience, setting a new standard for the sports cars of the future.

Innovative electric powertrain

Mercedes-Benz, in partnership with YASA, has developed a new battery technology that utilises powerful, advanced axial-flux motors with a unique cell chemistry. This technology promises to revolutionize electric mobility, delivering exceptional power and torque density with reduced weight and dimensions. The motors will be produced at the Mercedes-Benz Berlin-Marienfelde plant and are poised to be at the forefront of the forthcoming performance segment powertrain.
