On 17. + 18. June 2021, for the first time, the new mobility convention HEY/HAMBURG powered by Handelskammer Hamburg and SHIFT mobility brought together the leading minds from business, politics and research as well as disruptors and thought leaders. HEY/HAMBURG is a cross-sector gathering for ideas and innovation through dialogues, masterclasses and round tables about the future of mobility. From all over the world, participants took part to discuss the following topics: "The future is now!", "City of 2040, Urban Infrastructure", "Future Lab Mobility: See today what will happen tomorrow", "Mobility & Sustainability" and "Digitalisation & Connectivity".

We took part as well and had a little interview with Imogen Pierce, Head of City Engagement and Integration at Arrival. We learned more about arrival’s approach and its aim to disrupt the automotive sector. If you are not familiar yet with the brand that offers zero-emission mobility solutions for the city, read more about arrival here.

In the coming weeks you can find all lectures on the HEY/HAMBURG website. A little teaser – the 2nd edition of HEY/HAMBURG will take place 15-17 June 2022.

In front of the chamber of commerce, the new electric SUV of VW, the ID.4 was presented and we had the chance to have a look at it.
Plenty of space, a high suitability for everyday use as well as range of up to 520 kilometres: this is what VW promises with the ID.4. Alongside the VW ID.3, it is built in Zwickau, Germany and the second model that is exclusively designed as an electric car.

Whether the VW ID.4 delivers what it promises, this is something we have yet to test. However, we can already say: the interior is spacious, very tidy and structured.
