The new headquarters of Polestar

Polestar, the electro performance brand of the Volvo Car Group, moved into its new headquarters in Gothenburg in October 2018. Parents and subsidiaries are now on one campus to work more closely together.

The building, which is dominated by the "Polestar Cube", was designed by the Swedish architecture studio Bornstein Lyckefors in close cooperation with the Polestar brand team. The brand's uncompromising design is also reflected in the architectural design of the building. The bright white glass surface on the outside of the Polestar Cube with the illuminated Polestar logos also symbolises the leading role that the brand plays as a design and technology spearhead with the Volvo Car Group.

“Minimalistic, avant-garde design is at the core of the Polestar brand, in our cars and in the way that we interact with our customers. Design also plays a role in how we feel and cooperate in our workplace. With the new headquarters, we wanted to transform an existing structure to create a new, modern building on the Volvo Cars campus that expresses our brand values and which becomes an inspiring and desirable place for our global team to work.” – Thomas Ingenlath, CEO Polestar
